Starting a writer's workshop in first grade
I came across this idea on Pinterest, where students in grade one can engage in a writers workshop. This will help students develop the necessary writing skills, which will be needed as they move up to the higher grades. When a teacher introduces writing at the early stages, students will develop an interest and motivation to write.

Yes publishing the students work will surely get them motivated. The school should work as a team to ensure that every time the students move to another grade that gets to happen. I believe it will keep them motivated. All the school grades should have workshop activities like that, so the children's interest will grow as they develop.

Its a great idea for sure. When we look at the infants especially grade 1 stage, this is the stage where students are now beginning to write and express themselves through writing, therefore the writers workshop idea is brilliant for their level and it would also enable them to improve since they are developing writers
ReplyDeleteI really like this idea guys.I think this can be use as a great way to motivate students in wanting to write. If students have the motivation to write I believe with great support in less than no time they will become excellent writers.
